Kinslee Melhorn

Kinslee Melhorn is a young singer/songwriter (age 16) from Decatur, TN who loves to perform. Kinslee was named TN Country Gospel Music Association 2012 Songwriter of the Year for ages 13 – 16 and in 2013 named Songwriter of the Year Rising Star at the national level. Most recently, she was named 2013 Vocalist of the Year ages 13 – 16 with the TN Country Gospel Music Association and her first CD was named ‘CD of the Year’ also. Her music is featured on Athens WJSQ Rising Stars show, Chatttanooga’s US101 Backwoods Country show, Bill Rainey Show and available for download on iTunes. In December 2012, she opened up for American Idol Runner-up, Lauren Alaina and Confederate Railroad, at the US 101 Forgotten Child Concert. She has also performed at the Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN, National MooFest, WJSQ 101.7 Music on the Menu, Hard Rock Café Nashville, National Cornbread Festival, Tennessee Strawberry Festival, Sounds of Summer Concert Series (Athens), Athens Art Center, Tennessee Valley Fair, Meigs High Choir/Handbell concerts, and several local churches, fundraisers and festivals. A few upcoming events for 2014 include: National MooFest (June 7th), Lake Winnie Mom Monday Concert Series (June 23rd and July 28th), Sounds of Summer Concert Series (July 19th), and WJSQ 101.7 Music on the Menu (Euchee Marina, July 17th).
