Backwoods Country

Robby Hopkins

Robby Hopkins is a country music singer/songwriter, who was born in Spencer, Tennessee into a musically-rich family.   He is recognized for his ease on stage and for his voice – often compared to Vern Gosdin, Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, or Randy Travis – some of his favorite country greats.  Robby’s grandmother taught him his first guitar chords when he was eight. He wrote his first song at age sixteen.  Since that time, he’s written many songs, and won several awards.  Most recently, Robby was named one of the “Hot Songwriters to Watch” by the Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival in Gatlinburg, TN.
