Pistol Annies have a new album on the way. The trio is calling their sophomore effort 'Annie Up. Singer Ashley Monroe says they felt it was an appropriate title, since they put all their musical chips on the table with this project.
The Annies' new single "Hush Hush" is the lead-off release from the disc. Miranda Lambert says the song was inspired by the recent holiday season. She explains that when she, Ashley, and Angaleena Presley met up again after Christmas, they were all talking about how horrible it was.
Monroe says they ended up taking a little bit of truth from each of their family experiences to write the song.
Pistol Annies' Annie Up will be in stores on May 7th.
