Thompson Square has debuted their video for "If I didn't have You" on CMT yesterday (Valentine's Day). The video mixes performance footage with a fictional narrative about the duo getting into a car crash that leaves Shawna Thompson seriously injured.
Shawna tells CMT that since she's "basically in a coma throughout the video" the shoot wasn't all that difficult for her, and Keifer "had to do all the work." Keifer Thompson admits that the acting was "a challenge" for him, but when he saw Shawna in the hospital bed it "wasn't very difficult to get emotionally wrapped up in it."
The song is the lead-off single from Thompson Square's upcoming sophomore album. The duo filmed the video last month, and ended up scaring fans in the process. They caused concern when they posted photographs from the shoot on Twitter, in which Keifer appears cut and bruised and Shawna is hooked up to I-V bags in a hospital bed. They later apologized for leading fans to believe they were really injured.
